In partnership with UCL’s Professor Jessica Ringrose
Phone bans are spreading across schools, but what do they actually mean for young people? We partnered with Professor Jessica Ringrose at UCL, with funding from UCL Grand Challenges, to find out, putting students at the heart of the debate.
The result is new research that challenges the standard “ban” narrative, surfaces risks that are often overlooked, and centres the voices of pupils themselves.
To help schools act on the findings, we’ve also created a practical, student-centred framework for developing phone policies that are effective, inclusive and built around young people.
