PSHE Network Meeting South West – Keeping Students Engaged & Managing Difficult Questions in PSHE

Wednesday, April 22, 4 – 4:30 PM
Join us for our first PSHE Network Meeting in the South West! We want this to be a collaborative space for PSHE leads and teachers to connect, share, and learn from one another.
This session is for Primary and Secondary and will be hosted by Life Lessons alongside two of our brilliant partner schools, Court Fields School and Lift Winton School. Whether you’re navigating a class that’s gone unusually quiet or handling an unexpected question that stopped you in your tracks, this is a space to share honestly and pick up practical ideas from colleagues who’ve been there too.
What to expect:
We’ll hear directly from two partner schools sharing their real experiences of keeping students genuinely engaged in PSHE lessons and responding to difficult or sensitive questions with confidence. Their reflections will set the scene for a guided discussion, with some questions to spark conversation, and we’ll be heading into breakout rooms so there’s space for more open, smaller-group dialogue.
Topics we’ll explore:
- How do you keep students engaged in PSHE, especially with topics that feel sensitive or abstract?
- How do you handle difficult questions in the moment, and what’s worked (or hasn’t)?
This is a 30-minute session – short, focused, and designed to feel genuinely useful rather than another meeting in your diary.
We’d love to see you there.
