Black History Month

Free Lesson – Year 7 and above

What is Black History month and how can we celebrate it?

Black History Month is an annual celebration that shines a light on the history, achievements and contributions of Black people in the UK. It helps address the underrepresentation of Black stories in mainstream history and ensures that these voices are heard and recognised.

This free lesson is the first in our four-part Black History Month series, designed to support schools in teaching about Black heritage, culture and identity while encouraging meaningful ways to celebrate.
