Inclusion in PSHE: Belonging by design

October 15 @ 16:00 - 16:30
Group of young people including each other in a group exercise

Description of the session:

This 30 minute webinar will give you, as someone responsible for, or involved in inclusion strategy:

  • A guide on how PSHE can become central to your inclusion strategy
  • Practical strategies to create strong peer relationships and address the needs of SEND learners
  • Practical advice on building teacher confidence and creating safe discussion spaces

PSHE is too often treated as a bolt-on subject — but it is one of the most powerful tools a school has for building genuine inclusion. In this session, we’ll explore how PSHE, when designed with intention, creates the conditions for belonging: for SEND learners and for every child navigating difference.

We’ll introduce the Life Lessons inclusion framework and show how schools are using it to move PSHE from content delivery to something more relational — building teacher confidence, embedding safe spaces for discussion, equipping staff with the skills to respond to what actually comes up in the room and facilitate strong peer relationships.

Expect practical takeaways you can apply immediately, not just theory. Come and see the framework in action, and find out how to bring it into your own setting.
