Anxiety and Attendance: The link between Curriculum and Safeguarding

June 11 @ 16:00 - 17:00

Life Lessons have partnered with SAFEcic, Safeguarding Specialists, to present a free webinar for educators on anxiety and attendance.

Date: Tuesday 11th June
Time: 4pm – 5pm
Location: Online via Zoom

Ever since the Covid-19 lockdowns and school closures, anxiety and stress amongst children and young people have grown to alarming levels. We are also seeing a large percentage of students experiencing emotionally-based school avoidance, a term that refers to reduced or non-attendance at school by a child or young person that has roots in emotional, mental health or wellbeing issues.

We are running a webinar to help you consider the vital link between safeguarding and the curriculum. Upon successful completion of the session you will be able to:

  • Name the key relevant  legislation and guidance for schools
  • Describe the relevant contextual issues for your school and how they might be  addressed
  • Outline the best practice for embedding safeguarding in the  curriculum
  • Identify a brief plan of action if relevant.

How to address anxiety and attendance issues including a case study from Executive Headteacher, Caz Brasenell, Ark Kings Academy.

The webinar includes a comprehensive, digital training resource pack and certificate of attendance, valid for 1 year.
