At Life Lessons, we are proud to announce a major development in our offering: we are expanding our RHSE curriculum to provide a full Secondary PSHE curriculum across all year groups, including Post-16. This step reflects our commitment to equipping young people with the tools they need to make healthy choices and thrive in every aspect of their lives.
Our decision stems from a simple but powerful insight:
Young people who have a clear sense of identity—who they want to become and the life they want to lead—are more likely to engage positively with their education, build strong, respectful relationships, and feel good about themselves.
In today’s complex world, it is not enough for young people to simply avoid harm; they need the tools, encouragement, and space to build meaningful, fulfilling lives. When students have the opportunity to reflect on their values, ambitions, and aspirations, they become more resilient, more motivated, and more connected to their learning.
To support this essential development, we are launching a new ‘Money and Aspirations’ unit of study available to our Partner schools from September 2025.
Lessons will encourage young people to imagine their future selves, identify their goals, and understand the practical steps needed to achieve them. This will take place by exploring a range of different pathways, not just the typical ones. Providing financial literacy skills including how to budget, save, make healthy financial decisions, and avoid the pitfalls of debt.
We know financial education is a crucial, often overlooked, life skill. Too many young people leave school without the confidence or knowledge to manage their money effectively. Our approach also actively discourages linking money with success; so young people do not associate success with money and vice versa.
By giving young people the tools to plan their futures and manage their finances wisely, we are strengthening their self-esteem, developing their resilience, and preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of adult life.
At Life Lessons, we believe education should be about more than exams; it’s about shaping whole lives. We are proud to be leading the way with a curriculum that recognises the whole child and their potential—academically, personally, socially, and financially.
Our new full PSHE curriculum will be available from September with no additional cost to school partners. However, if any currently Life Lessons partner schools would like to pilot our new Aspiration and Money resources, we encourage them to get in touch with our team for more information.
Stay tuned for more details about the launch of our new PSHE resources in the coming months.
