Hi, I’m Kathryn Hanna, and I’m the new School Success Manager at Life Lessons.
How I’ll be supporting partner schools
As School Success Manager, my job is to make sure that the schools we work with get real value from their partnership with Life Lessons: from setting you up with the platform to ongoing support calls, to making sure PSHE leads and senior leadership teams feel genuinely listened to.
I’m looking forward to bringing my classroom experience into this role and working alongside schools to help them deliver PSHE with confidence!
Why did I choose to work at Life Lessons?
I have seen first-hand the gap between what schools need from PSHE and what they often have in terms of time, resources and confidence to deliver it well. Life Lessons exists to close that gap, giving schools high-quality, statutory-aligned PSHE content and the ongoing helping hand that makes a real difference to the way educators equip their learners.
I understand what schools are looking for from a partner, not just a provider. That practitioner perspective is what I hope to bring into my new role.
About me
For the past 15 years, I’ve lived and breathed secondary education as both a Drama teacher, including the last 9 years in sixth form leadership, overseeing Post 16 PSHE. During my time at school, I have seen first hand what it is like to both lead and teach students’ personal development. I have always been passionate about making sure that we get pastoral support right for young people, and recognise the impact it has when we don’t.
I have sat in the staff meetings where PSHE gets squeezed for time.
I have written schemes of work at 9pm after a full day of teaching.
I have had the conversations with students that no lesson plan quite prepares you for.
My passion for supporting young people with personal education is why I am so excited to be starting this next chapter with Life Lessons. I am absolutely thrilled to be able to have a national impact on the quality of PSHE being taught across the country!
