Knife Crime Prevention lesson

In March 2024, we ran a webinar in collaboration with Kent and Medway VRU and the Kent Child Centred Policing Team. Key takeaways from this session included:

  • Knife Crime has increased by 78% in 10 years
  • Children are disproportionally over-represented either as victims or suspects in knife crime incidents
  • Improved sense of belonging, sense of self and meaningful relationships with others can help prevent young people from being involved with knife crime.

In response we have developed this free lessons on Knife Crime Prevention. The lesson includes:

  • The consequences of knife crime
