Drop-in Session: Raising the St George’s flag – Uniting or dividing?

Join us for a workshop investigating the raising of the St George’s flag across England. We’ll be looking at how schools can engage positively with students around this issue, focusing on building a sense of common understanding, belonging and trust, even when a debate is sensitive or heightened. We will be covering:
- The public talking points around the raising of the St George flag
- The underlying social and cultural trends that are at play
- How schools can discuss this subject sensitively, including advice on what to say to young people (and what not to!)
- How critical thinking skills can be applied to this topic, and to other cultural issues
- How Life Lessons have responded to this event, using our In The News platform
